I am an entrepreneur and teacher at heart; always looking for new and exciting challenges, sharing ideas and executing to experience outcomes. I love working with driven people who constantly inspire and motivate me to never stop learning.
I've had an interesting and dynamic career journey and am privileged to have experienced various careers in many different industries. It's not over yet...
I graduated with a degree in Sports Science from the University of the Witwatersrand where I majored in Mathematics 2 - my favourite subject of all-time! I since discovered my creative side and love to combine creative concepts and design with numbers.
I had the opportunity to teach Mathematics to incredible pupils at high school level; they actually taught me a whole lot more!
After four years of teaching and coaching, I entered the corporate world at Synovate as a CSI research analyst in the motor industry. A year later I was employed by an international company called REL Consulting as a change management consultant working in finance and supply chain at Afrox and SAB (I am a wine drinker so the beer didn't appeal to me).
Business process re-engineering and problem-solving is a passion of mine and when I joined BMI-T in 1998 as an Internet analyst, I was subsequently requested by my boss and mentor to manage change and implement new processes in the company, starting in the marketing and PR department. That's when I decided to specialise in MarComs in the ICT industry.
After applying my knowledge as an Internet analyst and marketing enthusiast in a dot.com environment at Digital Plant in 2000, I realised that anything is possible and I felt equipped to fly solo!
I started Coolcumba Communications 😎🥒 in March 2001 and the rest they say is history. My clients include: Digital Planet, Iocore, Netsurit, Oracle Corporation, Sun Microsystems (now Oracle), Qualcomm, SAS, BT, Silverton Engineering, Transaction Junction and SME Survey.
Being a wife, mom, an entrepreneur and business owner has challenged me on all levels! I am grateful and look forward to the years that lie ahead...😇
